Airline revenues are estimated to be $530 billion for 2008 which will be an increase of $28 billion on 2006. With the air transport industry projecting that it will handle 2.75 billion passengers in 2011 (620 million more passengers than in 2006) and 36 million tonnes of international freight (7.5 million tonnes more than in 2006)*, the value of this market will continue to grow even further. This is a very exciting time for the civil aviation industry as the Airbus A380 is now in service and the Boeing Dreamliner is predicted to be in service next year.
