Building on RVE success

The Key team is hard at work planning for 2020 RVE (Rail Vehicle Enhancements) – one of the top shows in the rail industry calendar – with several exhibitors re-booking within days of the 2019 event closing.

RVE celebrated its second year last year under the ownership of Modern Railways magazine with solid growth on the 2018 event.

Focused on the rolling stock sector of the rail industry and associated services – vehicle spares, repairs and refurbishment – the event has been running since 2013 and was added to the Key Publishing portfolio in 2018 as an extension of the Modern Railways brand. It comprises an exhibition, conference and a Meet The Buyer event organised in partnership with Rail Forum Midlands and the Department for International Trade.

The Meet The Buyer event, which puts key industry buyers in face-to-face meetings with sellers, has grown in three years from a 15-table layout to three times that size and attracted 42 buyers from four countries and 20 companies. More than 300 individual appointments were arranged for the day in 2019, 100 up on 2018.

RVE 2020 will be held on November 5, 2020, from 10am until 4pm, at Derby Arena, Pride Park, Derby, UK. Doors open at 9.30am.
