Become a Key Author
Key Publishing now publishes books alongside its world-leading magazines. We are looking for existing authors and new ones, who really know their subject, especially if you have a great picture collection that could become an illustrated book. Currently, our illustrated books contain between 150 and 180 high-quality photographs and around 10,000–15,000 words, mainly captions.
If you feel you own a suitable aviation, railway, bus, automobile, transport in general or military photograph collection and would be interested in publishing it with us, please send a short synopsis by email to books@keypublishing.com. We are also happy to receive submissions for non-illustrated books on these subjects. Due to the current situation with COVID-19, we cannot accept submissions by post.
Your synopsis should contain:
- a short overview of your proposed book;
- a contents list;
- a brief author description, including any previous writing experience;
- a small selection of digital photographs* and details of what others you would include;
- details of where we could market your book online, for example, blogs and social media.
We will consider all proposals and should we be interested, we will contact you to ask for more information. We try to reply to all submissions, though please bear with us as due to the high volume of interest, we cannot always reply promptly.
