Telephone Sales Executive


£18,000 + OTE

Reporting to the Advertising Manager, you will be responsible for looking after the advertising needs of your customers, including identifying customer needs and providing the right solutions to meet these in line with the magazine strategy and budget.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  • Manage your customers and conclude transactions
  • Ongoing learning of product knowledge and to gain an understanding of market forces
  • To actively sell both print and digital advertising
  • Administration, signed booking forms and all sales support procedures adhered to

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • GCSE grades A – C (new grades 9 – 4) or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Previous experience working in a call/contact centre. Ideally with 2 + years telesales experience and /or digital sales experience
  • Excellent IT skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office including, Word, Excel, Outlook and calendar style software
  • Self-motivated
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Good communicator at all levels
  • High level of numeracy
  • An eye for detail and design
  • Ability to build relationships

  • An understanding of the publishing industry/process would be an advantage
