Rail Vehicles and Enhancements Show - 3rd October 2019Now under the ownership of Modern Railways magazine, the expo and conference will be even larger than last year’s event and will be held at the Derby Arena on Thursday 3rd October 2019 between 10.00am and 4.00pm.
Visitors to RVE 2018 benefited from a full day of events, yet Modern Railways RVE 2019 promises to be bigger, better and broader with expanded exhibition and conference, where visitors can hear from leading figures in the rail industry. We are pleased to announce that the conference will again be chaired by Ian Walmsley, columnist for Modern Railways and the timetable of speakers is once again being orchestrated by James Abbott, editor of Modern Railways and the driving force behind the Fourth Friday Club – the industry’s leading awards and conferencing brand. While most conferences and events charge for attendance, entry to Modern Railways RVE is entirely free, regardless of the quality of exhibitors and speakers.
Modern Railways RVE 2019 will be filled with exhibitors at the cutting edge of technology from around the world, showcasing real time passenger counting, passenger information systems, cab and saloon cooling, traction and passenger information equipment. Other innovations on show will include LED lighting, entertainment and advertising systems, interior and product designers, energy saving solutions and driver advisory equipment.
Visitor registrations for RVE 2018 were significantly up on previous years and with 22 per cent of registrations from rail executives at director level and above, it’s clear to see that RVE is an event where real decisions are made.
This is a good time to be in railways as the industry prepares to meet the challenges of re-franchising, PRM-TSI, continued passenger growth and the industry-wide desire to boost capacity. The Expo and its exhibitors share a common objective of improving the quality of rail travel. Railways should be a positive travel experience and Modern Railways RVE 2019 will continue to help us all to develop this further.
