Key Publishing is, once again, proud to sponsor the Schools Aerospace Challenge which helps 16 to 18-year-olds enter the real world of aviation and engineering.
Teams from schools, Air Training Corps and other youth organisations can enter. The challenge for 2019 is for the participants to explore the nature of the potential threats, particularly those posed by small UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles), and to conceive and develop a range of practical solutions or countermeasures to each of these threats.
The top 12 entries will be selected to attend a week-long Summer School at Cranfield University, after which the winners and runners-up will be selected by top industry guest experts and receive their awards from the Royal Air Force Chief of Staff at a formal ceremony in London later in the year.
Adrian Cox, Group CEO of Key Publishing, said: “Along with other leading industry-leading organisations, Key is proud to support this exclusive opportunity for young adults to take their first steps in entering the world of Aviation and Aerospace.”
